The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday unveiled a comprehensive plan to prevent recurrent injuries to the national pacers. The plan will focus on fitness, diet and technical skills.
According to sources, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore will be the hub of the initiative, where coaches and experts will work on bowling action and skill development of the pacers.
The programme aims to reduce the risk of injury and improve the long-term performance of the players.
Director High Performance Aaqib Javed is leading the project. The plan includes customised fitness regimes, diet plans and targeted exercises – which will cover fielding, batting and bowling.
PCB has launched a special plan to protect fast bowlers from injuries.
