Atlas Honda to Launch First Electric Bike by June 2025

Atlas Honda, Pakistan’s top motorcycle manufacturer, is preparing to launch its first electric bike by June 2025, marking a significant step towards tapping into the growing electric two-wheeler market in the country.

Expected Specifications:

  • Battery: A 48-watt lithium-ion battery, with a charging time of six to seven hours.
  • Range: The bike is expected to offer a range of approximately 65 kilometers per charge, which will vary based on rider weight, terrain, and driving habits.
  • Charging: It will come with a portable charger, allowing for charging at home or the office.

Pricing:

While the exact price has not been officially announced, estimates suggest that the electric bike will be priced around Rs 900,000, slightly higher than the current local models, due to the advanced components used.

Production Plans:

Atlas Honda plans to produce an initial batch of 25,000 units, with an annual production target of around 8,000 units following the launch.

Market Context:

The electric two-wheeler market in Pakistan is still in its early stages, grappling with challenges like high costs, limited charging infrastructure, and consumer doubts. Despite government incentives, electric bikes accounted for less than 1% of total motorcycle sales in 2024.

Atlas Honda’s entry into this market is expected to have a major impact, given its established brand reputation and manufacturing capabilities.
