Pakistan’s passport still sits among the worst globally with respect to travel liberty. Pakistan’s passport is ranked 100th on the Henley Passport Index 2025, granting visafree or visaonarrival access to only 32 points.

So indicating great travel limitation for Pakistani nationals, the Nomad Passport Index 2025 also ranks Pakistan 195th among 199 countries.

These ratings underline the restricted mobility of Pakistani passport holders, who usually need visa arrangements for the majority of overseas trips.

Political instability, security issues, financial problems, and tense diplomatic ties, all of which influence international visa policies, account for this low score.

By contrast, passports from nations such Japan and Singapore give visafree or visaonarrival access to 190 or more destinations, thus highlighting the benefits of close diplomatic relations and steady global positions.

Improving Pakistan’s passport score will demand several methods, among them better diplomatic ties, increased home security, and development of the economy.

Building worldwide confidence and increasing travel freedoms for Pakistani people depends on these initiatives.
